The World Orphan Fund has built homes for special-needs orphans and children of all ages in Honduras. In the coming year, we hope to build an entire orphanage for sexually abused girls in Guatemala and expand a special- needs orphanage in Honduras.

Clean water is one of our top priorities. We've drilled new wells and removed dangerous bacteria and arsenic to create a safe supply of drinking water.

“If you teach a man to fish...” Education gives children the tools they need to succeed throughout their lives. We fund both classroom and vocational programs because it's the first step toward independence.

Empty stomachs hurt. They break concentration and make the future seem impossible. Providing adequate nutrition is essential to creating healthy children.

The World Orphan Fund was founded in 2011 after a 20-year-old youth leader from Gainesville asked a stranger to visit an orphanage in Honduras. In just two years we've visited 2,800 orphans at 19 orphanages, and have funded an average of one new project every month, digging wells, feeding children, hiring teachers and creating vocational programs.

In Georgia we help our neighbors. No one understands that better our Governor and First Lady. They've spent a lifetime stepping up to help those in need in our state. When they were asked to Keynote the World Orphan Fund Gala they were more than happy to participate.

Join the Governor and First Lady at Lake Lanier Island Resort on October 3rd, and be part of helping orphaned children around the world.
